How to Buy a New Dell Laptop Screen?

Step 1
Check your warranty. If your laptop is fairly new, check your warranty to see if it covers Dell screen replacement. If you dropped the laptop or caused damage to the screen it will not be covered. If the screen is covered, contact your manufacturer to find out what you need to do to have the damaged screen replaced.

Find the laptop manufacturer identification numbers. Turn your laptop over and locate the model, serial, and part numbers if available. The serial number usually starts with "SN" or something similar.

Also, many online computer parts dealers offer great deals on new and refurbished Dell laptop screen.

Replace the damaged screen. Once the new laptop screen arrives, you can replace the Dell laptop scree yourself to save even more money. If you don't feel comfortable replacing the screen, hire a local computer repair technician to do it for you. Some dealers will replace the screen for free or at a reduced cost if you buy it from them.
